- It consists of a PVC fluid collection bag connected via a Y-piece to a PVC connecting tube on one side, which connects the bag to the surgical drainage device. On the other side, a PVC bulb, when pressed, generates a small vacuum that facilitates the release of bodily fluids from the drainage site and their collection within the bag.
