- It can be placed around the pouch in gastric bypass, or at the upper part of sleeve gastrectomy and in mini-gastric bypass, with the intent to prevent their dilation.
- It is indicated for both primary and revisional bariatric surgery.
- ByBand can be implanted with either laparoscopic or laparotomic technique.
- The device has a graduated scale and a black tip (distal portion) pad printed to facilitate the surgeon in its insertion and positioning.
